PEWDIE PIE TRIBUTE TO ETIKA

PewDiePie has shared an emotional tribute to YouTuber Etika, who was tragically confirmed dead aged 29 by the New York Police Department on Tuesday (June 25).

YouTubers are posting emotional tributes after the death of Etika

Etika, born Desmond Amofah, went missing a week ago after posting a worrying YouTube video titled "I'm sorry" – which has since been deleted – where he admitted he had "suicidal" thoughts. Earlier this week, a backpack containing a phone, driving licence, headphones, wallet and a Nintendo Switch, believed to have belonged to Etika were found by a bridge in New York.

The New York Police Department then responded to an emergency call at 6.18pm and police later confirmed that the male was pronounced dead on the scene. "We regret to inform that Desmond Amofah aka Etika has been found deceased," a tweet from NYPD news read.

PewDiePie, born Felix Kjellberg, was one of the first YouTubers to speak out following the sad news, sharing a post on Twitter in which he admits that he is struggling to process Etika's passing.

"Hard to grasp that he's actually gone, left us way too soon," he tweeted. "You will continue to live on in our hearts. Rest in peace @Etika."

PewDiePie then shared the numbers for crisis lines around the world and urged his followers to seek help if needed. "If you’re struggling mentally, speak to someone close or call," he added. "You are important!"

The Big Dog also discusses the differences between his recent diagnosis and a previous bout with the disease in 2007 and how age has affected his approach to recovery. “Back then, I was still playing football, and I was only 22 years old, so my body was resilient,” Reigns told GQ. “Thank God I managed to take care of myself, but at 22 years old, you can get in a car wreck, run out of it, and go swimming across the channel. So I was still able to maintain my weight and train like an athlete and continue to
